One of the better performers in the Arsenal team this season, Bosnian international Sead Kolasinac has impressed many upon his arrival on a free transfer from Schalke 04 this summer.
The 24-year-old who was part of the Bundesliga team of the year last season has seamlessly integrated into the Arsenal team adding brute strength and physicality to what was an otherwise fragile Arsenal team.
Against Chelsea on Sunday, Kolasinac was impressive yet again as he tormented the right side of Chelsea affording Moses and Pedro little space and time to work. Apart from intimidating David Luiz into committing a reckless challenge which earned the Brazilian a straight red, Kolasinac’s physicality also seemed to have intimidated not just the Chelsea players but also the referee Michael Oliver!
As Chelsea players protested the red card, Kolasinac strongly bumped into the referee but Michael Oliver, who in the past had sent off Di Maria for slightly pulling his shirt, could only look and walk away even appearing to apologize to Kolasinac for the contact.
