While Harry Kane deservedly took all plaudits with his phenomenal hat-trick in Tottenham’s 3-0 win over Apoel Nicosia in the Champions League, it overshadowed what was just as impressive a performance from the entire Tottenham team.
With injuries and suspensions plaguing the squad, a second string Spurs side not only won 3-0 but also came up with a fantastic team goal that saw 16 passes while spanning the entire stretch of the field and ended with Harry Kane planting a superb header into the Apoel goal.
The goal certainly reminiscent of the great Barcelona team goals and would have everyone raving had Barcelona conjured up such a goal with their tiki-taka brand of football. Yet, it failed to receive much attention from the media.
