Leigh Griffiths, Patrick Roberts and Scott Sinclair helped Celtic end their dry spell in the Champions League group stages with a 3-0 victory over Anderlecht last night.
This was the Hoops’ first European victory in their last 16 group games and also the first time they kept a clean sheet away from home in the Champions League.
Manager Brendan Rodgers’ team selection paid off and every plan was perfectly followed to the letter. And there is no better evidence of this than Celtic’s very first goal.
Almost every Hoops player got a touch on the ball as they collectively completed 28 successful passes before Leigh Griffiths broke the deadlock in the 38th minute and set the momentum rolling for the eventual victory.
