Breaking the Target Man Stereotype

Harry Kane has been one of the most consistent goalscorers in the Premier League for the past 3 years. However that has not put off his critics from branding him as a tap-in merchant.

Much of these claims perhaps might have germinated from his fantastic work inside the opponent’s box, but actual statistics show that the Englishman is equally adept at scoring from long distances.

Ranking above forwards like Aguero, Sanchez and Lukaku in average finishing distance, the Tottenham number 10 is a massive threat from outside the box.

The epitome of the modern day striker, Kane works hard off the ball, creating a headache for the covering defenders. Boasting a powerful shot and coupled with clinical efficiency, this critical review of Harry Kane’s effectiveness from distance seems way off the mark.

  1. Probably no one. Just click bait title.

Anyone who knows a bit about football knows Kane is far from a tap in merchant.

Saying that, I don’t care how Kane scores as long as he scores. Good thing he scores all types given the situation he’s in.
