With so much of action going on at the highest level, it’s a tough task for a fourth division team to break the headlines. But Welsh outfit Ynysygerwn Football Club have been in the news recently because as it turns out, Tottenham Hotspur and Wales left-back Ben Davies is apparently their club president.
The Welshman has scored twice in seven Premier League appearances so far this season, and earned his 33rd cap for Wales on Monday evening.
The South Wales club based in Aberdulais is dear to Davies who learned the tricks of the trade in their youth ranks before heading to Swansea.
While it is normal for retired players to hold responsible positions in clubs, Davies has moved a step further to see over his childhood club while still being on the rise of his playing career, maybe expressing his post-retirement plans out and clear.
