(Video) Romelu Lukaku’s disallowed goal was even better than his actual goal for Belgium v Cyprus

Romelu Lukauku continued his rich goal scoring form this season as the 24-year-old marked his return from injury with a goal from the bench in Belgium’s final World Cup qualification match against Cyprus.

The Manchester United striker netted Belgium’s fourth of the night to add to the three goals from the Hazard brothers as Belgium demolished Cyprus 4-0 on Tuesday.

Having come off the bench in the second half, Lukaku put in an impressive shift as he took only 12 minutes to score a superb goal from a floated through ball. But while Lukaku’s strength and technique may have been impressive for the goal, the Belgian could have got another brilliant goal later had he not been ruled offside.

Receiving a pass from midfield, Lukaku proceeded to control it and duly unleashed a ferocious effort at a moment’s blink that nestled in the bottom right corner. Offside or not, it was a moment of pure ferocious efficiency in front of the goal from Lukaku.
