Everton’s Luke Garbutt scored a peach of a goal during the 3-0 win against Manchester City U23s on Friday.
The 24-year-old marauding left back curled in a stunning free kick from 30 yards out which even Leighton Baines would have been proud of. The City keeper had no chance of stopping the free kick, which bent beautifully around the wall and into the corner of the net.
With Leighton Baines alone bearing the burden of senior left-back duties at Everton due to the long-term injury for Ramiro Funes Mori, Garbutt ought to be considered after his stunning display against City and Portsmouth.
