Tottenham are finally off the mark at Wembley after a 1-0 victory over Bournemouth on Saturday. Besides the goal from Christian Eriksen goal and another crucial moment for Spurs was the magnificent save from Hugo Lloris in the 20th minute while the game was still scoreless.
With the game evenly poised at 0-0 in the 20th minute, Lloris gave an exhibition of his astounding agility and startling reflexes to get down low and save a Bournemouth corner, deflected off the unfortunate Eric Dier.
When quizzed about his dazzling save in a post-match interview, Lloris served up a gem nailing down the fact that he loves a bit of a banter. The Spurs captain commented – “Everything happened so quickly. I just know it’s from Eric Dier. I think he just wanted to make sure I wasn’t sleeping.”
