While the handing of shirts to fans by the players is not an uncommon feature of the beautiful game, the Carabao Cup clash between Leicester City and Leeds United provided fans with the unusual sight of a manager asking for an opposition player’s shirt.
The manager in question, Thomas Christiansen was pictured holding the shirt of Jamie Vardy on the touchline after the match. Media persons and fans, as expected were unsurprisingly piqued by the sight of the Leeds manager holding Vardy’s shirt.
Christiansen’s indulgence though was for paternal reasons as it was later revealed by @APOPEY that the Whites manager had asked for the shirt for his son who had requested the shirt.
