PSV Eindhoven’s captain Marco van Ginkel, who is on loan from Chelsea, has made a prominent start to his third spell at the Dutch club with 4 goals in 8 appearances and marshaling his side to the top of the Eredivisie after 9 games.
Stretching his tremendous form, the Dutch midfielder scored a stunning goal in last night’s KNVB cup tie against Volendam to steer his team into the next round of the tournament.
It was an eye-catching right-footed overhead kick by the midfielder that found the back of the net to give his side a 1-0 lead late in the extra time.
After his splendid performance on the night, the social media exploded with Chelsea fans entreating to recall the midfielder back in their club. No real surprises here as Chelsea have had a lot of injury concerns in the midfield area this season and the fans would have loved to see the young Dutchman fill in the shoes in the absence of some veteran players.
And with Marco showing such signs of perfection and audacity in his game, no wonder that the Chelsea fans want him back at the Bridge sooner than later.
