(Video) Chelsea fans loved Bakayoko bullying Matic out of possession during 1-0 Man Utd win

Tiémoué Bakayoko finally came of age as he put in a masterclass of a midfield performance in what was arguably one of Chelsea’s most crucial matches in recent times.

On a night where he came up directly against his midfield predecessor Nemanja Matic, the French midfielder showed just why Chelsea let the Serbian go as he bossed around midfield along with the rest of the Chelsea midfield trio.

Apart from his offensive contributions (one of which played a big part in Chelsea’s goal), Bakayoko was also seen doing his defensive duties in a bullish no-nonsense style.

Bakayoko particularly won praise from the Chelsea faithful when he managed to harry the usually sturdy Matic to the ground during an instance in the match.

  1. let’s face it and deal with it: bakayoko is nowhere near (so far) an adequate replacement for matic; easily and at times dangerously dispossessed, a couple of horrendous misses in the face of nearly open goal in the united game, losing his cool and committing silly fouls. he needs to be rock solid, right now, instead he is struggling, he should started as an understudy to matic. alas, kante has to work for two, (if fit).
