Former Celtic striker Chris Sutton certainly didn’t mince his words as he ripped into rivals Rangers with references to Fawlty Towers and Monty Python during a BT Sport program on Friday night.



The panel, which also included Neil Lennon, were talking about the failed pursuit of Derek McInnes when Sutton went on to destroy the Ibrox club about not sorting out their managerial issues till now on segment with BT.

After sacking Pedro Caixinha six weeks ago Rangers are still under the guidance of interim manager Graeme Murty.

Although the Scot’s reign started off poorly, a recent string of results have propelled the club into second position in the Scottish Premiership, seven points behind the Hoops.

With the Rangers board openly giving indications of their pursuit about the Aberdeen boss, the former striker and manager made his opinion known on the matter in a less than subtle rant much to amusement of Neil Lennon sitting nearby .
