The Premier League title race is in danger of turning into a one-horse race especially after Manchester United, seen as City’s strongest contenders, failed to stop Pep’s unbeaten side in their local derby on Sunday.
Jose Mourinho however refuses to rule his side out of the race just yet and United kept themselves in the picture with a 1-0 win over Bournemouth at Old Trafford yesterday.
The atmosphere at the famous old ground looked subdued with most fans already contemplating the possibility of finishing behind their noisy neighbours.
The uninspiring performance from United also didn’t help as the home crowd was left frustrated for large parts of the game after yet another lacklustre display in a fixture many felt United should have dominated.
Just when it looked like a mini revolt was brewing in the stands Marcus Rashford took it upon himself to entertain the home crowd and almost produced a magical solo goal only for his 25 yard belter to be denied by the post.
United fans were left aggrieved as many felt the young striker deserved the goal to go in after Rashford put in another marauding display on the left flank since being introduced after the break.
