19-year-old Kristoffer Ajer played the whole 90 minutes as Celtic pulled off a brilliant 1-0 win against Russian outfit Zenit St. Petersburg in the Europa league last night.
Callum McGregor scored the only goal of the match after a brilliant assist from new loan signing Charly Musonda but the the Norwegian youngster was a major talk amongst the Celtic fans after his assured and confident display at the back.
The fans particularity loved the moment when he went fist-pumping after pulling off a great tackle on Zenit’s no. 14 Daler Kuzyayev in the first half.
The job is only half done though as it was the first leg of the round of 32 tie between the two sides and the fans would be hoping that the youngster has another performance to remember when they travel to Russia in a week’s time..
