It seems at least one English team will make it to the semi-finals of the current Champions League campaign after Manchester City drew fellow Premier League outfit Liverpool in the quarter-final draw.

And going by the reaction from City’s director of football Txiki Begiristain, it’s clear that it was not the kind of draw the Premier League table-toppers were looking for.

The Citizens thumped a 10-man Liverpool 5-0 at Etihad in September but lost 4-3 against the Merseyside outfit at Anfield in January.

Man City would probably still be favorites but the reaction from their chief shows what a opponent Liverpool will be. Check out the reaction below –

  1. To be fair, the Champions League`s best quality is the opportunity for all to experience going up against great clubs you can`t meet at home. We could have seen Manchester City go to Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Barcelona etc, buy instead it`s a 40 miles down the M62 for a game everyone sees twice a year at least anyway. Absolutely naff draw

  2. The scouse vermin will get their arse handed to them by a class team. Salah won’t try too hard because he’ll be a City player this time next year.
