(Video) This clip of Marcelo Bielsa’s training session in Marseille is getting popular amongst Leeds fans

Leeds United sent shockwaves throughout the footballing world after announcing veteran coach Marcelo Bielsa as new boss last week.

The former Chile boss is credited for laying most of the ground work for the country’s Copa America success in 2015-16 and is often depicted as the “godfather of modern intellectual football” in certain circles.

And following his appointment, a clip from his time at Marseille where the 62-year-old can be seen drilling his players has especially gone viral among the Leeds supporters on Twitter.

Many fans seemed to be of the opinion that several players, especially Ezgjan Alioski and Stuart Dallas along with defender Tom Pearce might be the ones to benefit from Biesla’s system while others like attackers Samuel Sáiz and Kemar Roofe may become casualties of his high pressing style.

  1. Wow Jason Pearce still on the books after all these years? Shows how behind the times i must be do accept my apology i was thinking this must be the absurdly obviously lazy reporting by someone who couldn’t care less what he put in an article.
