(Image) Poll: Leeds United’s appointment of Marcelo Bielsa has been the biggest deal in the Championship so far

It’s pretty safe to say that Leeds United are making a major statement by appointing veteran coach Marcelo Bielsa.

The Whites have turned to the former Argentina and Chile boss in a bid to reclaim their top division status after being stuck in the second tier of English football for 14 long years.

While the move has been considered a major coup since it was first announced, a recent poll on Twitter clearly depicts how the appointment has managed to stand out in the public’s eye among several other developments in the Championship.

Bielsa’s appointment totally dominated other deals such as Frank Lampard’s move to Derby County and super-agent Jorge Mendes’ recent involvement in Nottingham Forest’s transfers- coming out on top with 73% of the votes in the poll which asked supporters to pick the biggest deal in the Championship so far.

Exciting times ahead for Leeds United? Check out the results of the poll below –

  1. Great managers need players to work with and Leeds have few good ones. I’d rather have kept Heck and spent the stupid money from Bielsa’s retirement fund on players.
