The inevitable has finally been announced as Chelsea released an official statement confirming Antonio Conte’s exit from the blues earlier today.
The Italian had a great start to life in England, leading Chelsea to league success in his first year in charge but ultimately fell out with the bigwigs at Chelsea over transfers so badly that even winning the FA cup couldn’t save his blues career.
Conte is expected to be replaced by former Napoli manager Maurizio Sarri who is set to be the 9th manager at Stamford Bridge since Roman Abramovich took over in 2003.
Chelsea fans have been eagerly awaiting confirmation of the veteran boss’ arrival and excitement levels reached an all time high on Twitter recently after a grainy photo came out which seems to suggest that the 59-year-old has already arrived in London.
