After a decent World Cup campaign in Russia where he helped England reach the semi-finals, Jordan Pickford will be looking to continue his fine form under Gareth Southgate when the Three Lions take on Spain in the UEFA Nations League at Wembley on Saturday.
The 24-year-old became the most expensive English goalkeeper in 2017 when Everton bought him from Sunderland for £30 million. Some strong performances in his maiden season at Goodison Park led to a call-up in the national team and the rest, as they say, is history.
After his World Cup heroics, Pickford was rumored to be the subject of much interest from Chelsea during the summer transfer window; but the goalkeeper chose to stay loyal and has started for the Toffees in all 4 opening matches.
As he joined the England camp to take on the Spaniards, Pickford again proved he’s all about the Everton life as he was spotted arriving with his stuff in a couple of his club’s bags.
