Switzerland began their UEFA Nations League campaign in style as they thrashed Iceland 6-0 in front of a capacity crowd at Kybunpark in St.Gallen. Switzerland started quickly as they went 2-0 up inside 23 minutes and from that point on, it was always going to be a question of how many they can get.
The goal of the game came in the 67th minute courtesy of an unbelievable assist by Newcastle’s new boy Fabian Schar. The 6 foot 2 inch center-half had ventured forward and found himself inside Iceland’s penalty box. When the ball was played to him, the 26-year-old laid the ball off perfectly to Haris Seferovic, with an unbelievable back-heel.

The awareness and ability Schar showcased was indicative of a top class play-maker rather than a big, strong defender. With Newcastle struggling to create chances in their first few games of the season, maybe Schar can teach the likes of Ayoze Perez and Kenedy a thing or two in the training ground.
