After a tough spell recently, Tottenham Hotspur are now back on track after three back-to-back wins in the past eight days. The 2-0 win against Huddersfield yesterday took them back to the top four as Harry Kane also regained his scoring touch with a brace.

Spurs had a mini injury crisis on their hands going into the game with Hugo Lloris, Michel Vorm, Christian Eriksen, Serge Aurier and Dele Alli all being sidelined. What exasperated the problem was that both Mousa Dembele and Jan Vertonghen had to be taken off due to injury concerns after the first-half at The John Smith’s stadium.

They were replaced at half-time by two players who themselves had just recently returned from a long-term injury lay off – Victor Wanyama and Harry Winks. Both players put in an solid display in the second half to take the Lilywhites home.

Winks in particular looked back to his best, looking assured in possession and full of energy. There was one moment in the second half when the 22-year-old produced a sublime turn to take three Huddersfield midfielders out of the game.

Check out Winks’ savage piece of skill below:

With the Tottenham squad looking down to their bare bones, Winks will certainly have a part to play as Spurs resume their Champions League campaign against Barcelona on Wednesday. Tottenham fans will certainly be hoping the Englishman can carry his form against Huddersfield to Wembley on Wednesday.
