The wave of optimism that has gripped Rangers fans ever since Steven Gerrard took over the reins, reached a crescendo as Alfredo Morelos made sure they got the result they were longing for in the first European match being played at Ibrox in almost eight years.

Having watched his team concede against Rapid Vienna, the 22-year-old equalized for the Gers within a minute and then won a late penalty that was successfully slotted in by skipper James Tavernier, before sending the fans into a tizzy by bagging his second of the night in injury time.

The final score read 3-1 and spectators at the ground could hardly contain their joy at the glorious win.

While one can only imagine the kind of celebrations that would have taken place inside the homes of the Glasgow club’s many supporters, a fan’s brilliant antics after watching the third goal on TV was secretly recorded by his wife and has been uploaded on Twitter for everyone to admire.
