Celtic beat Hibernian 4-2 yesterday to record their third league victory on the trot, moving up to second spot in the Scottish Premiership table.

While the home crowd thronged Celtic Park as usual to cheer their team for full 90 minutes of the enthralling victory, they also found time to pay tribute to a recently deceased supporter who had spent her entire adulthood working tirelessly for the homeless.

Hoops fans in the standing section of the stadium were spotted unfurling banners honouring the memory of Michelle McFarlane – a much loved member of the Celtic Trust as well as an important part of the Invisibles Support group for Glasgow’s homeless.

Brilliant gesture from the Bhoys that reminds everyone about the real heroes who work quietly away from the limelight. Check it out:

  1. Strange how these banners, that pay homage to unheralded heroes to the people, never get highlighted by the tv cameras and the same .Then again they were not controversial or political
headliners, that ultimately would shame the Celtic support and particularly the Green Brigade.
    HAIL HAIL MICHELLE
