It didn’t take too long for Tottenham man Paulo Gazzaniga to shine on his international debut for Argentina during a 2-0 win over Mexico in a friendly.
Coming off the bench just before the hour mark, the 26 year-old goalkeeper showed he belongs to this stage by pulling off an absolute peach of a save just a few minutes later.
The save perfectly showcased Gazzaniga’s quick reflexes as he managed to scuttle across his goal-line to parry the ball over the bar after Jesus Gallardo had met a cross with a powerful header.
The Argentine’s stunning effort means his stock is expected to rise further amongst the Spurs faithful, specially considering the somewhat inconsistent form of their regular keeper Hugo Lloris. Check out his spectacular save:
