How the pubs in Newcastle are joining the protest against Mike Ashley

Newcastle United supporters continue their protests against their owner Mike Ashley as he fails to provide Rafa Benitez with any sort of financial backing.

The British entrepreneur has been urged repeatedly by the Newcastle faithful to either sell the club or provide funds to Benitez, who has managed to do well given the lack of funds.

The former Liverpool manager took up the Newcastle job when they were set for relegation in 2015-16 and has stuck through to see them win their promotion right back after the drop. However, the money being spent in the league by the bottom clubs makes it a job harder than what the Spaniard would’ve hoped.

The Magpies have upped their efforts to bring a change at the very top. Even the pubs in Newcastle have joined in the protests to see their owner out, as can be seen with this poster of Ashley in a urinal.

After having been duped by the owner once already, who came out and confessed he was very close to selling the club, the fans would hope he does make a decision soon and the club doesn’t end up facing heavy consequences.
