When Jurgen Klopp put pen to paper at Liverpool, there was a collective swooning amongst the die hard Reds supporters who went bonkers over the German’s appointment.
Fast forward 2 years and the former Borussia Dortmund manager has brought the flailing Reds back to the Champions League while showing signs of building something special at Liverpool.
German author Raphael Honigstein further glorified his status at the club recently, claiming that Klopp promised FSG never to coach another Premier League side at the beginning of his regime at Merseyside.
A time when loyalty has been scarce, Klopp embodies the perfect relationship between the Anfield faithful and their charismatic manager.
Expect this love to be a long lasting one. Check out insight from Honigstein below –
Everton came away with a precious victory against Newcastle as Sam Allardyce’s side continued their mini-revival after what was a terrible opening few months for the Toffees.
Other than Wayne Rooney’s poaching instincts on display, the traveling supporters also got to witness some nastiness from Dominic Calvert-Lewin towards the end of the game
The Everton forward, in an attempt to run down the clock, brutally nutmegged an incoming Newcastle man, delaying them from constructing an attacking move as the seconds trickled down towards full time
While Everton’s $150 million summer spending has failed to materialize on the points tally, Calvert-Lewin has been a breath of fresh air for the blue half of Merseyside, putting in encouraging performances whenever called upon.
The audacity to execute such a sly piece of skill drew applause from the away section last night, check out the moment below –
Absolutely wicked piece of skill on display from the Colombian
Rangers came away with a crucial victory against Hibernian coming from a goal down to win the match 2-1 last night. Having trailed for the majority of first half, the Gers turned the game on its head in a brief 3 minutes spell just before half-time, scoring twice in quick succession.
The winner proved to be the icing on the cake for the away fans as Alfredo Morelos skinned his marker Paul Hanlon, leaving his legs tied in knots as the forward blasted home from a tight angle.
A terrific Cruyff turn followed by a quick shimmy forward, Morelos left the Hibernian defender chasing shadows.
The win puts Rangers into the second spot, just behind leaders Celtic, level on points with the high flying Aberdeen. Morelos has now scored twice in two outings, his recent one being quite an exhibition.

Having been a spectator of Liverpool’s mesmerizing attack this season, Adam Lallana has been unfortunate to miss out on what could be labelled as perhaps the best attacking unit in England currently.
The twinkle-toed midfielder has had to sit out a majority of the campaign dealing with a nefarious thigh injury. However, that has not stopped the Englishman from putting on some serious muscle for his highly anticipated return to action.
The Reds squad made their regular pre-Christmas visit to the Alder Hey Children’s hospital, handing out gifts and posing for photographs with Lallana in particular catching the eye due to his huge frame.
Jurgen Klopp has been extremely cautious in managing the former Southampton man, navigating away from revealing any set date of an impending return. For Liverpool fans though, expect quite the physique when the number 20 goes shirtless next time.
It was no surprise that the social media soon got the sniff his visit and some of the fans were quick to slate the Leeds boss for this unholy act. So much so that the former Barcelona player had to come out with an explanation for his foray into enemy territory.
Turning against their own gaffer seems a tad harsh from the faithful Peacocks support. Check out Thomas Christiansen’s tweet below –
Footballer’s are one of the most bankable trendsetters in the 21st century, just look at Paul Pogba’s hair or Jerome Boateng’s Wayfarers but Michy Batshuayi seems to be preaching his own sense of fashion these days.
The striker turned up in a rather peculiar outfit at Belgium’s training session, sporting an oversized pullover and an undersized jeans. Often derided for his polarizing performances, shuffling from world class to utter garbage, the Chelsea man looks to be following that trend to his choices of clothing.
Although the complimentary footwear is a dead giveaway, Michy appears to be bossing the look in all fairness. Disaster or Genius?, You decide.
United’s Twitter account is in 3017 while we are all living in 2017
David de Gea has been the stand out player at Manchester United for quite some time now, producing unbelievable reflex saves week in week out. So it was no surprise when he was the central character of the Red Devil’s recent activity on Twitter.
The popular social media feed had introduced a new 280 word limit on user tweets which has led to a bittersweet reaction from users across the globe.
United’s Twitter handle though, made the most of this opportunity to indicate the convenience of using #DavidSaves for their goalkeeper’s exploits, instead of having to make do with the previous #DaveSaves due to the imposed restrictions on word limit.
The champions of media marketing, it’s no surprise that the Red Devils are leading lights in the world of social media, particularly after witnessing such a brilliant reaction to a trending topic.
Danny Rose was in the form of his life when a medial ligament injury back in February 2017 sidelined him for the rest of the season. The left-back recently spoke to Talksport about what was the toughest period of his life as a footballer, overcoming a setback which made him fall out with the game.
Remarking his extended spell away from action, Rose underlined the impact of his team’s performances this season in reigniting his hunger for football with some stunning performances against the likes of Dortmund and Real Madrid. The full-back felt ‘angry’ on having to be a mere spectator of Mauricio Pochettino’s revolution but is hopeful of being involved in his plans soon.
Tottenham Hotspur supporters would be delighted to welcome one of their crown jewels with the fixtures list throwing in some challenging encounters. For Rose though, return to the line-up can’t come soon enough.
Check out this rather candid interview from Rose below –

It is fair to say that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain wasn’t afforded the best start at his new club with Liverpool getting trampled 5-0 by Manchester City followed by a League Cup exit at the hands of Leicester.
However, the £40 million signing is slowly showing signs as to why Jurgen Klopp was so adamant on signing him. His performance against Maribor at home, followed by a lung-busting display against West Ham has adhered him to the Reds faithful. So much so that the Liverpool bandwagon has come up with a new chant for the Englishman.
The new arrival took to Twitter to acknowledge their efforts as the Reds travelling support didn’t shy away from introducing their new invention in the 4-1 victory this weekend with Chamberlain loving each moment of it.
