In a mouth-watering encounter at the Wembley stadium, Spurs managed to defeat Chelsea through a Harry Kane penalty and strengthened their position going into the second leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final.
The game was full of incidents and as much as Eden Hazard embarrassed Harry Kane during this incident, Chelsea players were on the receiving end of some mad tekkers from Spurs players as well.
In an embarrassing moment for the Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga, Spurs forward Erik Lamela received the ball and danced past him with much ease & finesse, although, after the referee had blown his whistle.
A pointless skill from the Argentine but Spurs fans watching the game thoroughly enjoyed the moment.
The Chelsea goalkeeper was also at fault for the only goal of the game as he brought down Harry Kane, who stepped up to take the penalty and slotted the ball in the back of the net.

Spurs took a narrow first leg lead as they defeated Chelsea by a solitary goal thanks to a well taken penalty by Harry Kane.
Chelsea were perhaps the better side by a narrow margin as the Blues enjoyed more of the ball and piled much pressure on Spurs who managed to hold on to a one-goal lead.
There was a bit of a fracas between Tottenham players and Chelsea’s Antonio Rudiger at full time. Danny Rose was in the middle of a heated moment with Chelsea’s Antonio Rüdiger after the match as the German looked to be messing around with Rose, who was having none of it.
Several Spurs players intervened as they separated the two players. Check out the incident below –
With the appointment of club legend Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as their caretaker manager, it seems as though the shackles have been removed and some of the old swagger is back at Manchester United.
Solskjaer started with a bang as United dispatched Cardiff 5-1, and put on display some crisp attacking football which was missing under the previous manager.
Similar results followed against Huddersfield and Bournemouth as Pogba bossed the midfield while Rashford led the line with much composure and finesse.
United, however, had to show their character midweek to overcome a sturdy Newcastle side, and took over an hour to break the deadlock as Lukaku came off the bench and scored a poachers goal from his first touch, something his boss would have really appreciated.
Rashford, then doubled the lead and continued his impressive goal scoring form.
Solskjaer was delighted with the result and the clean sheet as he ran on the pitch and gave much needed love & encouragement to his players after full time.
There’s a buzz around the club now and the scenes after the match showed how the Norwegian has already built a strong relationship with the squad.
It remains to be seen whether he’ll continue to be at the helm come summer, however it’ll be interesting to see how his rejuvenated side performs against the other five of the big six and if they manage to close the season strongly.
