Loyalty towards Mauricio Pochettino most likely reason why Spurs squad hasn’t been poached upon
Mauricio Pochettino has indubitably done a phenomenal job at Tottenham so far, with the Argentine now being considered as one of the best managers in the Premier league currently.
Modelling his style on former boss Marcelo Bielsa, Pochettino took his craft to the Premier League, and hasn’t looked back since. Under his tutelage Tottenham have picked up more points than any other Premier League team over the past three seasons whilst playing scintillating football.
It should come as no revelation then that the playing staff at Spurs hold him in such high regard.
Telegraph correspondent Jason Burt recently discussed the influence Pochettino has on his players and admitted that if Pochettino were ever to leave, there would be a number of players who would depart with him.
With 85 minutes gone and Arsenal trailing the Canaries 1-0 in the Carabao Cup, Arsene Wenger opted for one last throw of the dice and sent in Edward Keddar Nketiah last night. Seconds later he had equalised with his very first touch, before he scored a second in extra time with a bullet header.
Saving Arsenal from an embarrassing loss, Nketiah became the first player born after Wenger took charge as manager in October 1996 to score a competitive goal for Arsenal.
Needless to say the Emirates faithful were very excited about young Nketiah and took full advantage of Wikipedia’s editing feature after the performance last night
Manchester United’s unbeaten start to the season came to an end as they crashed to a humiliating 2-1 loss against newly promoted Huddersfield town at the John Smith’s Stadium.
The Terriers capitalised on errors committed by United men Juan Mata & Victor Lindelof for their first win over the Red Devils in about 65 years.
But it seems not everyone amongst the sellout crowd was fixated on the captivating game happening at the stadium as an image being circulated on Twitter showed a fan checking out porn during the Terriers clash against the mighty Manchester United.
The Twitterati had a field day with comments expressing a myriad of emotions right from disbelief at receiving 4G connectivity inside the arena to shock at the lack of respect for the beautiful game.
Much has been made of the bromance between Spurs stars Dele Alli and Eric Dier, but it looks like another pair of stars are even better buds in spite of one of them not plying his trade at Tottenham anymore.
Yes! You guessed it right!
We are talking about Heung-Min Son and Kevin Wimmer. Now at stoke City, Wimmer was seen in the Wembley stands at the weekend cheering for his best buddy as the Lilywhites ran out deserving 4-1 winners against Liverpool. Afterwards the ex-Bundesliga men also went out for dinner in London.
From debuting a new handshake during the pre season tour in South Korea to acknowledging that they were best pals, Wimmer and Son certainly have developed a strong relationship during their time at Spurs.

Slaven Bilic is indubitably under tremendous amount of pressure in the West Ham United hot seat. Struggling for form, Bilic’s Hammers sit 16th in the league and Friday’s uninspired, insipid 3-0 loss to newly promoted Brighton and Hove Albion definitely did not help matters.
Moreover, a damming Match of the Day statistic has now backed up the long-swirling rumours that the training regime in place at Rush Green is nothing short of a holiday package and hence it is no revelation that a number of players look out of shape.
In fact these stats are just so poor that, training is probably going to hit the Hammers like a brick wall if & when a new manager comes in.
The buck stops with Slaven Bilic as it the manager and his back room staff who are directly responsible for keeping the players fit and motivated.
Arsenal ramped up the pressure on beleaguered Everton boss Ronald Koeman with a 5-2 victory at Goodison Park. Few expected Jack Wilshere to be an Arsenal player at the start of the season but the Englishman has unquestionably grabbed his ultimate chance with both hands and has repaid Arsene Wenger’s trust by excelling in the EFL Cup, Europa League and as an impact substitute in the Premier League.
Replacing Alexandre Lacazette in the 77th minute Wilshere seemed hungry to make up for lost time against Everton, delivering a sublime assist for Aaron Ramsey that propelled Arsenal into a 4-1 lead.
Unarguably Super Jack’s best moment came after the final whistle while the victors were ritually applauding the peripatetic army. A pitch interloper approached Wilshere before being castigated by a steward. However, as the fan was being steered away, Wilshere walked after him and handed over his match jersey. Simply Fantastic!
Tiemoue Bakayoko and Michy Batshuayi undeniably have big shoes to fill at Chelsea. In a rousing comeback win against Watford at the weekend both Bakayoko and Batshuayi took massive strides forward in a display of immense character rescuing the Blues from the sticky circumstances they found themselves in at the Bridge.
Batshuayi scored an outstanding brace in the remarkable 4-2 win against the Hornets taking his seasons tally to 8 goals in all competitions.
The Batsman and the Frenchman further endeared themselves to the Stamford Bridge faithful with their hilarious Conor McGregor imitation while reveling in the joy of Batshuayi having scored the equalizer in the 71st minute of the game to make it 2-2.
Cesar Azpilicueta and Michy Batshuayi came to Chelsea’s rescue as the Premier League champions dug in deep to beat high-flyers Watford 4-2 at the Bridge after Roberto Pereyra had scored the Hornets into the lead.
Ever since joining Chelsea in August 2014, the Spaniard has been a consistently solid performer in an assortment of roles under a number of different managers in diverse tactical systems, establishing himself as a firm crowd favorite in the process.
Dave sent Chelsea fans into a frenzy after his goal at the death put the Blues ahead before Batshuayi’s goal made sure of the result.
The Spaniard left the Stamford Bridge faithful further drooling over him as he kissed the Chelsea club crest while celebrating his goal. It seems Azpilicueta’s love for Chelsea hasn’t gone unnoticed among the faithful with calls for the club to reward the defenders loyalty and passion by installing him as club captain steadfastly growing in amplitude.

The 26th premier league season is still in its infancy but it hasn’t stopped Manchester United fans from speculating about prospective superstar additions to the squad for next season. Mourinho’s men have gotten out of the blocks better than last season and currently sit 2nd in the table a couple of points behind their rivals Manchester City.
Summer signings Nemanja Matic and Romelu Lukaku have both slotted in seamlessly and have become key men in the Old Trafford juggernaut while Victor Lindelof is being eased in by Jose Mourinho.
However, this potential line-up for next season is just so good it will make every Red Devil fan warm and fuzzy inside. If Ed Woodward does break the bank to sign long-term targets Antoine Griezmann and Danny Rose along with Gunners playmaker Mesut Ozil next summer, this potential lineup is worthy enough to go toe to toe with any European heavyweight.
Tottenham take on Liverpool at Wembley in a potentially nail-biting early season confrontation this Sunday. Coming off the back of mesmerizing performances away from home in the Champions League, both Spurs and Liverpool will look to lay down a gauntlet and re-establish their title credentials.
Considering their start to the season and their overall form in the last few seasons, it comes as no surprise the Lilywhites are absolutely ruling the roost with eight players in this combined XI as opposed to Liverpool’s three.
While this lineup has taken into account players on the treatment table, we can certainly trust the men who will take to the field on Sunday to produce a spectacular, end-to-end spectacle of entertaining football.
