Barcelona vs Getafe 6-1 Highlights, Goals, Videos, Review & Stats

Barcelona comprehensively destroyed Getafe at home. They scored six goals while conceding just one. And they had six different goalscorers. Andres Iniesta was the coordinator though, as he masterminded Getafe’s collapse.

Barcelona Starting Lineup - Valdes; Adriano, Pique, Puyol, Alba; Thiago, Song, Iniesta; Alexis, Messi, Villa
Getafe Starting Lineup - Codina; Miguel Torres, Alexis, Lopo, Escudero; Lacen, Borja; Barrada, Castro, Gavilan; Colunga

An unusual lunch time kick off saw an Iniesta inspired Barcelona dismantling Getafe. They ate now 12 points clear at the top and look set to clinch their 22nd La Liga title. The Barcelona midfield had one of the greatest days in the office. Tiki Taka of the highest standards. Getafe defense had absolutely no clue what hit them.

Stats

Barcelona Goals – Alexis Sanchez (6′), Lionel Messi (13′), David Villa (58′), Cristian Tello (79′), Andres Iniesta (90′), Gerard Pique (90′+2)
Getafe Goals – Alvaro (83′)

Real Madrid vs Sevilla 4-1 Highlights & Goals Video

Real Madrid comprehensively won against Sevilla despite being a man down as Gonzalo Higuain was sent off in the 66th minute. Even Sevilla played with 10 men but only for the last 10 minutes with Maduro receiving a red card.

But the centre of attraction was Cristiano Ronaldo who managed to hit another hat trick. His first goal was just too good, from his weaker foot. Karim Benzema scored the first goal for Madrid. And Manu scored the consolation for Sevilla. But still 7 points behind Atletico Madrid and 16 points behind Barca for Real Madrid.

Jose Mourinho will really have to do something ‘special’ to turn this around.

Valencia vs Real Madrid 0-5 Highlights & Goals (Video)

Mestalla | 20 Jan 2013

The game was over in the first half itself as Real Madrid went mental and scored five goals. Four goals came in 7 minutes in a passage of madness and some unforgivable errors from the Valencia defense. Their were lot of yellow cards dished out as well but the games wasn’t particularly dirty.

Mesut Ozil had a brilliant game with two assists. Coentrao probably had the best game in a Real Madrid shirt. And Ronaldo also managed to miss a very simple chance towards the end. That was one horrible miss. And perhaps the only glitch in the match for Real Madrid.

Valencia, also saw an improved performance from their side in the second half as Banega was running things, but they have got some serious working to do if they want to be beating teams near the top of the table regularly.

Goalscorers

Real Madrid – Gonzalo Higuain (9′), Angel di Maria (34′, 45′), Cristiano Ronaldo (36′, 41′)

Valencia Starting Lineup - Alves; Ricardo Costa, Rami, Ruiz, Guardado; Tino Costa, Banega, Gago; Piatti, Soldado, Jonas
Real Madrid Starting Lineup – Casillas; Arbeloa, Varane, Albiol, Coentrao; Khedira, Alonso; Di Maria, Ozil, Ronaldo; Higuain

Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo Text Each Other in the New El Clasico Ad

A bit weird advertisement. Supposedly for the next El Clasico but Real Madrid doesn’t take on Barcelona till March. So, the timing is a little odd too. But, who cares.

Messi did win the Ballon D’or but against Celta Vigo, Ronaldo showed that he is not behind with an impeccable hat trick. We see top two best footballers getting into a cheeky texting battle. The commercial was released by Al Jazeera.

Nice smart phones too.
