[/mt_one_half] Stade de Genève, Carouge, Switzerland | 21 Mar 13 | Italy vs Brazil, International Friendly
Football powerhouses Italy and Brazil come face to face in the little city of Carouge in Geneva. The stadium holds little more than 30,000 spectators. Interestingly, both the countries are in the same group in the 2013 Confederations Cup, which takes place in the month of June. This friendly will be perceived as the trailer for the Confederations Cup match between these two countries on 22 Jun 13. Last times these two nations met in a friendly, Brazil came out as the winners.
The match pits together two of the most explosive strikers against each other, Italy’s Mario Balotelli and Brazil’s Neymar. But both the teams are equal to each other in almost every position in any formation.

Cesare Prandelli, did not reveal much about his game plan against this flamboyant Brazil side but is expected to shift his line up a bit. Italians have not won against Brazil in 30 years. Talking to the press, Prandelli said, “I have to prepare well for this game without giving any kind of advantage to Brazil. You can infer some of our plans having watched our training session, though. It’s a game we want to play to the best of our ability so we can make life difficult for Brazil.”

Giorgio Chiellini is doubtful to start for Italy due to an ongoing injury problem. Giaccherini and Rannochia are looking to likely to get a start along with AS Roma player Osvaldo. For Brazil, Paulinho, Ramires and Lucas are unavailable for selection.
