As referee Mike Dean blew his final whistle on Saturday night, Old Trafford erupted with rapturous wave of cheers and whistles. Manchester United had just humbled last year champions Leicester City 4-1.
A devastating 20 minute spell in the first half saw United score 4 unanswered goals with goals coming from stand-in captain Chris Smalling, Juan Mata, Marcus Rashford (yes, he scored yet again) and record signing Paul Pogba.
In truth the game was won in the first half with the second half a mere formality of being professional for United.
After the game, fans were quick to praise the team’s performance on social media with Blind, Pogba and Herrera in particular receiving special praise.

While Pogba and Herrera were both exceptional, it was the performance of Blind that drew most plaudits. The Dutchman filling in for the injured Luke Shaw came up against reigning PFA’s Player of the year Riyad Mahrez and he made sure the Algerian was ‘Blinded’, keeping the winger quiet for the entire duration of the match.
Blind also weaved his magic offensively as the Red Devils converted 3 goals from the 5 corners he took. Take a look at some of the best tweets after the game below!

Daley Blind's been phenomenal once again today. 2 assists to his name from left-back. Such a useful utility player to have in Utd's squad.

Me when Daley Blind comes away with the ball in a one-on-one with a fast, tricky winger who's likely to cause him problems. pic.twitter.com/SlPrLlIirB

Can't think of anything more beautiful than a Daley Blind corner

Difficult to look back at Van Gaal's time as anything other than a success knowing he brought Daley Blind to the club.

If you don't rate Daley Blind then shame on you.

Daley Blind is what the English media pretend John Stones is.
Moreover he didn't cost £50m.

Arsenal fans are quick to talk about Paul Pogba and Xhaka comparisons. Let's talk about how Daley Blind has more assists than Mesut Ozil.
