Celtic went crashing out of European football last night after suffering a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Barcelona. The regal Leo Messi was the difference at Celtic Park, scoring a brace to break the hearts of the Bhoys who had been hoping to finish at least third in the group.
Barca were made to work for it as the Celts put up a fight for the majority of the match, led by their goalkeeper Craig Gordon. Even after going a goal down, the goalkeeper produced a number of fine saves to keep his team in the game; a point-blank save against Luis Suarez’s header was among the finest ones of his career.
Following a delightful run down the right, Messi chipped the ball over the top into the midst of the penalty box, onto the path of the onrushing Suarez.
Suarez powered a header towards the net, only for Gordon to flap it away with his right hand- one of the best reflex saves of this season. Check it out below!
