While the welcome accorded to the Barcelona team certainly embodied good sportsmanship on part of Celtic, some Celtic fans took the whole event rather cynically. Some saw it as showing too much respect for their illustrious opponents from a club as big as Celtic while some saw the event as pointing to signs of desperation on part of Celtic.

Who the fuck thought it would be a good idea for bagpipers to lead the Barca team bus up the Celtic way last night?

totally embarrassed when I seen. Made a mockery of the occasion and the idea that CP is an intimidating stadium.

Piping Barca bus into the ground? Constantly bring up Barca's players praise of the fans? It's all a bit cringy sometimes
