Manchester United got it right the second time as they saw off West Ham United 4-1 in the League Cup quarterfinal fixture last night. The goals came courtesy of braces for both Martial and Ibrahimovic, while Ashley Fletcher scored the initial equalizer for the Hammers.

The Hammers were threatening to get back into the match, but Martial’s brace killed any such hopes.

Such was Wayne Rooney’s confidence in the Frenchman’s ability that it didn’t even need the ball to go inside the net for the captain to get into his celebrations.

The Englishman, like an absolute legend, was seen with his hands raised in celebration as Martial applied the finishing touch to his second goal – the Red Devil’s third of the match.

Manchester United have been drawn to play Hull in the two-legged January semifinals and this might even be the Red Devil’s only shot at silverware this season.
