(Video) Player-manager relationship goals: Diego Costa celebrating his winner v Palace with Chelsea boss Antonio Conte

Chelsea’s 0-1 win over Crystal Palace extended their amazing winning streak to 11 games on the trot. A lone goal from Diego Costa was enough to get the job done and ensure that the Blues stay on top of the table going into the busy Christmas schedule.

A moment during the game which didn’t go unnoticed was how Costa ran over to Antonio Conte to celebrate the goal. And whilst the Italian did shake Costa’s hand and also gave him a hug, he was also quick to bark a few instructions into his ear before sending him away to rejoin play.

It was a moment that signified the kind of relationship Conte likes to have with his players; a fatherly relationship that includes both a close bond but an understanding of what he expects them to do for the team.
