Jack Wilshere was once seen as the successor of Cesc Fabregas when the two played together at Arsenal. However, both have gone on to have very different careers since then. Whilst Fabregas has won it all at both club and international level, Wilshere’s career has been plagued by injuries.
The Englishman’s inability to get a regular run of games at Arsenal led to him moving to Bournemouth on loan at the start of the season. And the move seems to have done him a lot of good with Wilshere looking fitter & sharper than before.
During Bournemouth’s game against Chelsea on Boxing Day, there was a moment of mastery by the Arsenal loanee that went unnoticed by many. Collecting the ball in midfield, Wilshere absolutely schooled his former midfield mentor with a superb Cruyff turn that left the Chelsea man chasing him in vain.
