Leaked image suggests that Tottenham will be reverting back to a shield crest with next season’s ‘Nike’ kits

It had previously been widely rumoured that Tottenham Hotspur would shun Under Armour as their kit suppliers at the end of their contract this year and would switch to American giants Nike in a deal reportedly worth £30 million.

While pictures of Tottenham’s supposed new home and away kits have been doing rounds on the internet, a new leak now further confirms Nike’s association with the club.

Footyheadlines.com, who are usually pretty reliable when it comes to shirt leaks, revealed that Nike’s Tottenham kits for 2017-18 will be complimented with a new modification to the club’s crest as well, as the iconic cockerel is set to be adorned with a shield that will encircle the original logo.

The new crest is said to be inspired by a 1950s take on the Spurs logo, back when they used to sport a shield around them.
