Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s career at Manchester United has finally begun to reach the heights that it did during his time at Borussia Dortmund. The Armenian winger was a key member of the German side yet during his initial few months at Old Trafford, he struggled for both form and game time.
This isn’t the case any longer, and whilst he is yet to become a regular under Jose Mourinho so far, that is to be expected given his injury and the amount of competition for wingers in the current United side. However, that hasn’t stopped him from achieving some levels of success, both for the team and himself.
The winger has already won the EFL Cup this season and recently also bagged the award of the Armenian Player of the Year. Whilst football is a team sport, winning individual honours is never a bad thing and this trophy will serve as validation for his efforts as well as his decision to move to Manchester.
