The following graphic will only prove to be tough reading for Arsenal fans.
A graphic about the teams with the best away record against the Top 10 sides in the Premier League is being shared on social media currently. Liverpool lead the way with 13 points, closely flowed by the teams that comprise the rest of the top 6 – except Arsenal.
It has not been an easy time to be an Arsenal fan. Even in light of the near-annual self-implosion the club goes through each season, the turmoil enveloping the Emirates seems to be particularly troubling as unrest over Arsene Wenger’s future, contract renewal issues of the club’s biggest stars and reports of dressing room discontentment casts a gloom over proceedings in North London.
That said, the graphic below will only prove to be tough reading for some already weary supporters. Arsenal have one of the worst records in terms of playing Top 10 clubs away from home in the Premier League this season.
They Gunners have in fact accrued just 1 point in their travels to teams in the top half – which puts them level with Burnley, Hull and Sunderland. That the latter two clubs are odds-on favourites for relegation this season really tells the whole story.
Given Arsenal’s position in the table, this would also indicate some strong home form. That probably wouldn’t be very helpful in cheering up the fans though.
