This season has seen Manchester United finally start to achieve some of the stability that the club so badly craved after the Fergie Era ended. Jose Mourinho’s first season has had its highs and lows but the club seem to have a long term plan and a manager who can restore them to the glory days.
Nemanja Vidic is one figure who is instantly recognizable from the glory days of Sir Alex Ferguson. The tough Serbian formed a formidable partnership alongside Rio Ferdinand and the two were the foundation on which Fergie built his side. Most United fans would admit that the club had a tough time replacing the two.
In a recent interview with ESPN, Vidic picked out his favourite defender of the current lot at Old Trafford. His answer was not exactly a shocking one as he picked summer signing Eric Bailly, going on to shower the youngster with praise and also talking up his potential as a player.
See what he had to say about Bailly here:
Vidic: "If you're asking me which CB I most like to watch at Manchester United, then it's Eric Bailly." #MUFC

Vidic: "Bailly is aggressive. He has potential, he's young, and he likes to defend. He has the qualities to go even further." #mufc
