Ugly scenes in the vicinity of the Emirates Stadium as footage of a clash between supporters and the ArsenalFanTV crew emerged online. Tensions have been boiling as the question of Arsene Wenger’s future has split the Gunners fan base like nothing else and things threatened to get very nasty as irate supporters lashed out at members of the club’s well-known Fan network.
Robbie Lyle, founder and face of ArsenalFanTv was right in the midst of the tumult and to his credit attempted to appease the angry crowd and avoid a full-scale bust-up. Arsenal fans have chosen to direct some of their frustration towards the work that Lyle and his crew have done, describing it as making money off the club’s misery in recent times.
Footage of fan violence inside the stadium also surfaced during the 2-2 draw between Arsenal and Manchester City as supporters had to separate two fans who had engaged in fisticuffs.
It truly is a turbulent time for the North-London Club and the sooner such issues are dealt with the better for all concerned in order to avoid shameful scenes like this.
