Former player Virgil van Dijk reacts to Celtic’s sixth straight title win on Twitter

It was a historic moment. Celtic traveled to Tynecastle Stadium as table leaders, but came back home with their sixth consecutive Scottish Premiership title.

A Scott Sinclair hattrick coupled with goals from Stuart Armstrong and Patrick Roberts helped the Hoops trounce Hearts and win the league with eight games still left to play.

The unprecedented 48th title for Celtic has already been secured with 28 wins, 2 draws and 0 losses, and Brendan Rodgers’ side could well become the first Scottish team to cross the finish line without a single defeat.

Apart from securing the league title, Celtic can still manage to win a domestic treble as well this season, a feat which they previously achieved back in 2000-01.

From fans to football greats, everybody has joined hands in praising Celtic for the achievement, and jumping the bandwagon was former club defender Virgil van Dijk, who had the following message for them –
