It’s been a pretty good season for Celtic under the management of Brendan Rodgers. The Hoops managed to win both the Scottish League Cup and the Scottish Premier League whilst also doing well enough in Europe. At this very moment, it’s safe to say that Celtic fans are riding high thanks to their success.
However, it is also important to prepare for the future and this is an issue that Hoops captain Scott Brown had to recently address.
Speaking to the Ladbrokes Football Show, the skipper addressed who he thinks should be the next captain of the side after he retires, and his choice will shock very few.
The midfielder believes that young defender Kieran Tierney is the obvious choice to take over as the leader of the side once he hangs up his boots.
Tierney has had a stellar season and has even attracted interest from clubs like Manchester United. However, Brown hopes he sticks around for a long time yet.
See what he had to say about his potential successor below:
Celtic fans would love him to stay around. Keiran’s a natural leader and die-hard Celtic fan.
He knows what winning games at Celtic Park means.
He’d be the one for me.
