A lot was riding on Rangers when they made the trip to Pittodrie Stadium today, and in stunning style, they defied expectations to come back home with three points secured in the bag.
Second-placed Aberdeen’s long streak of 10 consecutive home wins came to an end due to a dramatic 3-0 loss at the hands of Rangers.
The visitors scored three times in the last five minutes of the game, courtesy of a Kevin Miller brace and another late goal by Joe Dodoo, who also nearly managed a fourth as well.
The game was a personal victory of sorts for new manger Pedro Caixinha, who truly announced his arrival at the club with his second victory from four matches in charge.
And while the victory had no profound effect for the club on the table, the manager surely won the hearts of Rangers fans with this passionate celebration after the last goal of the evening –
