With an average age of just over 25 years, Tottenham Hotspur certainly ranks among one of the youngest sides in football history. Considering the success the team has already achieved in the past few seasons, expectations are certainly high for the current side buzzing with youthful energy and talent in the seasons to come.
That said though, Tottenham’s showing in the U-23 premier league has been a different story altogether with the side slumping to yet another loss yesterday, this time a comprehensive 4-1 defeat to Everton.
Despite the poor showing, Spurs fans had atleast something to cheer about with regard to the lone Kazaiah Sterling goal in the second half.
The simplicity of the goal aside, it was the work of Marcus Edwards that caught attention with the young midfielder embarking on a hazy run beating two Everton players before delivering a peach of a cross towards Steeling to convert.
