Chelsea’s Premier League dominance has left them in a good position to claim the title in due time. Although a resurgent Tottenham Hotspur can still mathematically catch up to them, the ball is very much in the Blues’ court as only a slip up of massive proportions can see them lose the title at this stage.
One of the most noticeable things about the side is just how cohesive they are. That being said, they still have their star performers who outshine the others. A
side from the usual suspects of Diego Costa and Eden Hazard, the other player who has been the brightest spark in that side is N’Golo Kante.
The French midfielder has been tireless with his work rate, something that has not missed the eye of Chelsea legend Didier Drogba. In a recent interview with the Daily Mirror, he also mentioned how the midfield engine is smart enough to use a certain trick to avoid getting booked when he commits a foul.
See what Drogba had to say about Kante’s cleverness here:
It’s amazing to see him play. He reminds me of Makelele.
You look at him and it’s like he hasn’t run at all during the game because he’s never tired.
When he makes fouls, he smiles at you and you can’t even give him a yellow card. He’s really smart.
