The season isn’t quite over yet, but it may as well be as far as Arsenal fans are concerned. After suffering a humiliating 10-2 aggregate defeat to Bayern Munich in the Champions League, they have experienced a massive slump in form.
At present, it looks doubtful that they’ll even be in the tournament next season.
Nevertheless, the rebuilding process has already begun as according to the Bosnian news outlet Reprezentacija.ba, Schalke left-back Sead Kolašinac has signed a pre-contract agreement with Arsenal.
The deal was completed just a few days back, with the player even picking out an unmentioned squad number.
Perhaps more importantly, the top brass told the player that there is a serious intent to compete for trophies next season.
One revelation that might not sit well with fans is that it was also revealed to the player that Arsene Wenger will be leading the side next season. Nevertheless, the signing is a good one for the club as it seems they have found their Nacho Monreal replacement.
The deal was also confirmed by Sky Germany’s Dirk g. Schlarmann. Check out his tweet (in German) below –
