Despite having a new manager at the helm to reignite winning form, Rangers still haven’t been able to do one thing they would have wanted to do the most: beat Celtic FC.
Celtic took a step closer to a domestic treble after managing to pull off a comfortable 2-0 win over Rangers in the semi-final round of the Scottish Cup today.
The comfortable victory for Brendan Rodgers was secured with a Callum McGregor strike and a Scott Sinclair penalty.
The Ibrox side were outclassed for most parts of the game and threatened only in its dying moments, which too wasn’t enough to manage even a consolation goal.
And as a testament to everything that went wrong for Rangers, watch Martyn Waghorn’s embarrassing failure of a run along the flank during a moment in the game –
Seen quite a few folk wanting to see that Waghorn run down the wing. I grant you your wishes. pic.twitter.com/DRHelRe1Oq
