Juan Mata’s recent injury was expected to keep him out of action for a long time, with there being fears that he too might be out for the rest of the season.
However, the Spaniard amazed a lot of people by regaining enough fitness to actually be a part of the bench for the game against Swansea.
It’s a pretty impressive comeback time, as United could certainly use his services right now. The race for a top 4 spot is as close as ever and Mata, who many expected to be sold in the summer due to Jose Mourinho’s arrival, has been a key player for the side, scoring and assisting goals on the regular.
Never one to rest on his laurels, the playmaker decided to take things one step further. After the Swansea game, Mata stayed back at Old Trafford after virtually everyone else had left.
His reason for doing so was to get in some extra training time as he continues to push harder to get fit soon.
