Man Utd’s Ander Herrera is so good he’s even intercepting De Gea’s transfer to Real Madrid

More often than not, David De Gea has been proven to be a saving grace for Manchester United in many games since his arrival at the club.

One can expect United’s defences to falter and make mistakes now and then, but a reliable De Gea is always there to thwart every attack with his aplomb skills as a shot-stopper.

And perhaps this is why speculations of the goalkeeper’s move to Spanish giants Real Madrid remains an unresolved mystery to many.

Ahead of United’s Europa League clash with Celta Vigo, Spanish newspaper Marca posed a blunt question regarding De Gea’s transfer to team-mate Ander Herrera: “Is De Gea going to Real Madrid?”

While it was obvious that the midfielder was never going to support his team-mate’s departure from the club, Herrera faced the question head-on and urged De Gea to stay at Old Trafford and become a club legend like Edwin van der Sar.

Check out how Herrera replied to Marca below –

Hopefully not. He is the best goalkeeper of the Premier League for me, and for many people. He was named again the best goalkeeper of the league, and already it goes four years.

He’s been at the club for six years. He’s very close to the number of games Van der Sar played, and can become a legend. People here love him very much. I hope so (that he stays). There are few goalkeepers in the world who give you points and David is one of them.
